The Acting industry has changed!

Having acted professionally for the last 20 years across 4 countries I’ve learnt what the secret to being a successful actor is:

1. BEING YOURSELF.

Sounds simple? Probably. But if someone asked you how to “be yourself” what would you say?

The Actor’s Saga utilises acting techniques from acting theorists such as Eric Morris, Ivana Chubbuck and Larry Moss, as well as an insight into the science of psychology to help you understand why you react the way you do, and how to bring that irreverence into a rehearsed scenario.

2. BRANDING.

The industry isn’t looking for someone who ‘can do everything!’ They want to know exactly what story you will tell and how you tell it.

As an actor you need to be your own marketing agent. Knowing your “brand” is an important marketing tool when you are meeting with directors, producers or agents. We will work together to find out what your strengths are and where you fit in the industry, so when you walk in that room or send that casting video, they know exactly who you are!

3. COMMUNITY

This can be a lonely industry. Sitting in your room against a blank wall, trying to put down a tape, reading lines, sending emails, waiting, waiting, and waiting some more.

The Actor’s Saga is more than just classes. It’s a community and a home. We are all in this together and this is the space to come and try new things, connect with likeminded creatives, and find your ‘family.’ Members of The Actor’s Saga become friends for life, help each other with auditions, pick each other during the down times and most importantly, celebrate each other’s win!

This isn’t competition. This is community.
